A Legacy of Commitment and Quality
Our journey began in our pistachio orchards in Yazd and our dried-fruit shop in Sarachmeh, Tehran. From those early days to the present, this craft has been passed down through generations of our family, carrying with it the same ethics and commitment. Our orchards are located in some of Iran’s finest pistachio-growing regions, and every pistachio is the result of knowledge, experience, and a genuine passion for what we do. Today, nearly 90% of what we produce reaches reputable brands and established businesses that have placed their trust in the quality of our work; it is this trust that defines Arta.
WHY ARTA?
We did not choose this name by chance.
The name Arta is rooted in one of the ancient concepts of Iranian culture—a concept closely associated with truth, righteousness, order, and authenticity. To us, Arta is more than a name; it expresses a belief that has been carried from the past into the present:
What is valuable must be preserved in its true and authentic form.
We built Arta upon this very belief; a perspective that sees pistachios not merely as a product, but as part of Iran’s agricultural heritage and cultural identity. Arta’s mission is to introduce this heritage to the world according to standards worthy of its value.
We believe true quality begins with knowing your roots.
That is why Arta stands between Iran’s ancient roots and a modern vision of the global market—to bring Iranian pistachios to domestic and international markets while preserving their authenticity, meeting contemporary standards, and carrying an identity worthy of the name Iran.
Arta means loyalty to our roots, commitment to quality, and respect for authenticity.
THE QUALITY JOURNEY
Timely Harvest
We harvest pistachios precisely when they reach maturity—not earlier and not later. Leaving pistachios on the tree or in storage for too long can make the outer skin more susceptible to mold growth; timely harvesting is the first step in preventing this.
Rapid Hulling
Immediately after harvest, we remove the fresh outer hull using our own equipment. The longer this process is delayed, the more opportunity residual moisture has to support fungal growth; we have reduced this interval to a minimum.
Controlled Drying
We rapidly reduce the pistachios’ moisture under controlled conditions until it reaches a level that is no longer suitable for mold growth.
Sorting, Separation & Packaging
Before packaging, dark-colored, cracked, or suspect pistachios are removed through both visual inspection and machine-based sorting; this is where the greatest risk of contamination is typically found.
OUR MISSION
Arta’s mission begins with a simple belief:
A good pistachio must be properly understood before it is sold.
We seek to combine the knowledge and experience accumulated over generations alongside our orchards and products with today’s industry and trade standards, so that quality remains measurable and reliable throughout the entire journey—from the orchard and product selection to processing, grading, packaging, and distribution.
For us, quality is not simply about appearance, size, or price. Variety, climate, harvest timing, moisture content, product integrity, processing, storage conditions, and food-safety requirements are all integral to the final quality of a pistachio. Our mission is to make this perspective present in every product offered under the Arta name—whether it is a small order for an individual consumer or a shipment for a business partner in global markets.
Our mission is to bring this philosophy to life in every product offered under the Arta name—whether it is a small order for an individual consumer or a shipment for a business partner in global markets.
We aim to build a trusted bridge between production and consumption, tradition and knowledge, and Iranian pistachios and the global market, so that Iranian pistachios can reach the world while preserving their authenticity and with a quality worthy of their name.
